The Quest Portfolio has ten sections of activities, suggestions and guidelines to teach students how to become better writers. The goal of the portfolio is to guide students as they plan, write, revise and edit stories. The portfolio has two pockets for students to store their rough drafts. Persuasive and problem-solution writing are focuses of the portfolio as it teaches students how to organize their ideas and how to choose more precise nouns, verbs and adjectives. A 14-point rubric provides students with more self-checking teaching points.
