Everyday Organizer

Series II Rubric
This rubric design can be used many times with different types of writing. A rubric is a checklist of important objectives students should include in their writing. Different types of writing assignments focus on different objectives. On this rubric, there are fourteen objectives listed plus space for six of your own. Students should place a check on the line to the left of the objective they want included for a piece of writing. Then they decide on a possible point value for the objective.
The Series II Rubric sets itself apart from other rubrics because it teaches students to self-select which objectives are important for each writing. Students are truly becoming independent writers with the use of the Series II Rubric

Quest Style Poster
This poster will teach students how to take their writing to the next level! Mature writing contains imagery, details, descriptions, similes, metaphors and personification. Personification gives human traits( emotions, desires, physical gestures and speech) to inanimate objects. Metaphors and Similes are ways of thinking, describing and comparing concepts/objects. Similes use the words “like” and ‘as”, while metaphors draw parallels between objects.
