Explorer writing camps are designed around creative themes to create confident and independent writers. We teach students writing strategies and have fun with the writing process. Explorer camps concentrate on teaching skills such as staying focused, getting organized, brainstorming ideas, using precise words and phrases, making stories coherent, mastering transitions, learning to revise and using sentence variety.

Student Writing Camps for all levels and schedules

Write More camps have been developed for students in grades 2 through 8. They are designed to motivate both reluctant and enthusiastic writers. Each camp has age-appropriate themes and activities. Write More also offers specialized camps to help prepare your child for state writing tests. Explorer Camps are week-long/half-day sessions offered during each track-out and in the summer . A fantastic, new approach to learning

Write More introduces a new way to inspire children to write. Writing Works is a time for both reluctant and enthusiastic writers to immerse themselves in a variety of writing activities. Children in grades 2-8 can choose to work independently and creatively in writing centers, work on specific writing strategies with a teacher’s guidance in the classroom, or work on homework that involves writing with the help of a teacher. Writing Works is here to help your child develop a positive attitude towards writing by teaching him effective writing strategies in a fun, relaxed environment.

Flexible scheduling

The best part of Writing Works is its flexible scheduling. As we begin this exciting new program, you are invited to have your children attend our one-hour sessions on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 5-7pm. Stay for one hour or both hours. You can set up a specific time to come each day or drop in on an "as needed basis". Go on-line to schedule your child’s sessions at a time that best works for you. As this program matures, we will be adding additional days and sessions to the schedule. Writing Works is limited to 10 children per hour with one teacher monitoring, guiding and teaching. You can purchase 4 one-hour writing sessions on-line for $100 and you have up to six weeks to use all 4 sessions. You can also choose to purchase 2 sessions for $60.00.
