Writing to a prompt can be meaningless, but read aloud a strong picture book and you will provoke writing that comes from deep inside. Experience the power of writing, generated by emotive picture books and return to classrooms ready to lead your students in exciting and meaningful reading and writing experiences.

Class is for both days: 10 total hours.  This class is limited to the first sixteen to sign up.  Register no later than 6/30/08.

The Camp will be meeting in the Write More Classroom A - located in
Greystone Office Park off Leadmine Road, 901 Paverstone Drive

About the Instructor

Susie Wilde, M.Ed., has reviewed for Book Page and Learning magazines and currently writes columns for Raleigh’s News and Observer and Durham’s Herald Sun. Her published works include a picture book, Extraordinary Chester, a  book for teachers, Write-A-Thon! How to Conduct a Writing Marathon in Your 3-5th Class. Her website (www.wildewritingworks.com) offers reviews on 150 subjects for children. She has been teaching workshops for parents, teachers and students for fifteen years, including her popular CEU classes at Meredith College.
